Hi, just a heads up: I've made a new branch hein/fastFolders in plasma-desktop to refactor FV for speed.
Currently with a 7x6 desktop widget pointed at /usr/bin, it: * Has about 3x-5x the frame rate while scrolling * Doesn't block plasmashell startup for seconds with churn while initially listing * Saves about ~10 MB of memory With no functional regressions. The QML Profiler is pretty fun. Cheers, Eike
