Bug ID: 354004 Summary: smb kioslave timeouts looking for kerberos authentication Product: kio-extras Version: 5.4.2 Platform: Compiled Sources OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: default Assignee: plasma-devel@kde.org Reporter: adrien.prokopow...@gmail.com I am using the smb kioslave (via Dolphin) to browse my school's shared directories, located on a Windows 2008 Server's Active Directory. However, it always takes a very long time to connect (> 30 sec) before I can finally browse it. After some research (see attached debugging output), it appears that libsmbclient actively waits for a Kerberos authentication, and then timeouts before falling back to NTLM. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use kioclient5 to connect to a SMB Windows Server 2008 AD Share without Kerberos 2. Wait a long time. I am running an up-to-date archlinux using Plasma and kioclient 5.4.2. This problem occurs on every version of kio-extras I have tested so far (even from the 4.x branch), all with a fresh install of any distribution. However, the problem only appears when using the smb kioslave. It works correctly using smbclient directly. My classmates using KDE also have this problem, but the others (using Windows, Mac OSX, or GNOME-based linux desktops) do not. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Plasma-devel mailing list Plasma-devel@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/plasma-devel
