I can confirm that reverting the commit makes plasma work again. For me it was not just the wallpaper being broken but in fact plasma was in an abort- restart-loop [1]. By disabling CHECK_SCREEN_INVARIANTS I got it to start with the wallpaper problem. Reverting the patch fixes both problems. Cheers Martin [1] https://paste.kde.org/plg7lpqua
