# KDE Telepathy & KDE Applications All kf5 based application repos are now being integrated using the master branch. This now also includes the entire telepathy suite, okteta, kiten and cantor # changes - kde telepathy on the ISO is the version from master - koko is now being integrated and available for installation `sudo apt install koko` - the installer now starts by default and offers an option to drop into the live session or install - SDDM now starts on VT 7 to take over from the installer - the ISO is now using systemd - libkscreen BIC was undone and libkscreen is again available as the latest and greatest from master # errata - kde telepathy does not appear to be working (at least with google accounts) for unknown reasons. pending investigation. - koko sometimes decides that it doesn't want to start, killing it and trying again a couple of times usually results in success - for unknown reasons X/installer/sddm refuse to start in virtual machines (tested with vbox and kvm). the ISO therefore only does something useful when used on bare metal - various glitchery in the installer (missing wallpaper, wrong cursor, oxygen icons...) # long standing errata - all issues affecting Kubuntu 15.04 also affect the ISO (which among other things includes a slightly bugged out installer, best only install using en_US) - the ISO is rolled using the CI landing PPA due to stabilization blockage from missing bluez5. this in turn means that upgrades potentially won't work or break half way through as the underlying PPA breaks ever so often. _______________________________________________ Plasma-devel mailing list Plasma-devel@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/plasma-devel
