- qtcurve packaging is weirdly crap
- if you have installed the ISO and updated kate or konsole you likely
have a broken kate/yakuake/kdevelop situation. to resolve this I'd
suggest apt-get removing konsole and kate and then reinstall them. to
get the integrated versions install konsole5 and kate5 respectively.
alternatively forcefully downgrading the packages would give the same
effect.
# virtual machines
virtual machines have a bit of trouble with the graphics. At least
with virtualbox you can workaround the problem by temporarily
switching to a different TTY (right-ctrl+f1 -> right-ctrl+f7)
