Also this looks strange:
%{appname}(%{pid})/default QIODevice::read: QIODevice::read: device not open

Run this and see if the value of the variable is correct
$ env | grep QT_MESSAGE_PATTERN

Also, might want to try to replace with this in your bashrc (if you have
the line there):
export QT_MESSAGE_PATTERN="%{appname}(%{pid})/(%{category})
"$'\033'\[31m"%{if-debug}"$'\033'\[34m"%{endif}%{function}"$'\033'\[0m":
%{message}"

The line from the wiki did not work for me.

Who knows, your build error may be somehow caused by this...
