I'm kinds of sure it's related to new shadow change, at least part of. I maintain a plasmoid, which doesn't use Plasma::Dialog or any other built in plasma window in libplasma, need to write extra code to use the new shadow.
I check the osd implementation, obviously it use qwidget with plasma::svg, which will not get shadow automatically. Regards Xuetian
