in this case, yes, as it is a popup applet which has an inherent minimum useful size. however, this is only acceptable when there is no other option and should not be the general case. content should always be scaled to fit the space alotted to the plasmoid. otherwise we get "androidis sizeitis" where putting QML app(let)s in different size views (or, screens) looks horrific. this may include eliminating some elements, simplifying them, scaling them, etc. in the case of the calculator, it only makes sense to have all the buttons shown, and there is a set minimum size that also makes sense (be able to show all the content, still be big enough to press, etc.) .. .so there are always exception .. but they are exceptions. :) -- Aaron J.
