Big +1 for me. Personally I have switched to lightDM long ago, the biggest reason why I pushed and I will push for it is because the codebase of the KDE greeter is small, compact and easy to hack on and the code of lightDM itself at least 8months back wasn't monstrous and I could read it easily.
