Have all the c++ parts, like dataengine changes, already been merged from this? It would seem that merging the C++ parts in time for the KDE SC 4.8 release should be the top priority. The QML parts are relatively easy to install separately, right (since they do not need to be compiled)? So I think the top priority should be getting all the dataengine and other portions that require compiling or changes to the normal plasma release merged (even for widgets that are not done). If that is all that is accomplished, the worse case scenario is that people will have to download the QML widgets (it might even be possible to put them on kde-look.org or something temporarily). It would also make it easier for people to start writing third-party QML widgets.
