i looked at the code in TaskItem and found at least one bug in setTaskPointer; this is called when an item goes from being a startup item to being a "real" item. i'm unsure if this has anything to do with what you and others are seeing, but i've pushed that fix and i'd be interested in knowing if it changes anything for the better for this particular issue. -- Aaron J.
