having seen a number of other school systems, this is how it is always done. this way students can move around between computers and not have to sit at the same one each time. it also prevents computers from having to be specifically configured. also, there should be no reason for a KDialog. the log-in widgets could sit right inside the containment itself using Plasma::Widgets. :) -- Aaron J.
