it doesn't crash here at all. what it does is quit. when the current plasmoid is destroyed, plasmoidviewer exits. and guess what "switch to classic menu" does? ;) "switch to classic menu" is a hack (which i personally never liked) which deletes the current plasmoid and creates another one.
