Yeah, it's not impossible to have errors.  We hope that distro's would
be able to police that some though (and distro patch appropriately).
Perhaps a "naming guide" would be appropriate so there is less conflict?

WRT the desktop file being a property I like that too.  The only caveat
is that with libindicate we did that, and we've gotten a surprising
amount of push back from developers.  I'm really unclear on why, but
they don't like having the path to the desktop file in their code.  I
honestly think they're being irrational, but just to let you know there
is some concern there.
