@ngraham You used the "appdata.xml" file suffix here. I noticed yesterday
when reading the spec that it now declares that as legacy suffix:

a .appdata.xml extension is also permitted for this component type for legacy
compatibility.

Given Plasma targets newer system, perhaps it makes sense to start right away
with a metainfo.xml suffix?
