Thanks for the explanation. Even though I have been using KDE4.X since April I still don't grasp a lot of the inner workings and I guess I still have to read a lot of code and experiment on my own before I'm half way there ;-) I understood in principle what you wrote but cannot think of an example where I have seen it in use.
