the issue is that people keep reinventing that graphicswidget-in-a- scrollwidget and connecting up their models to it by hand. it would be nice to have something generic that can be shared. and yes, it will likely be thrown away eventually due to Qt always being about a year behind what our needs are. -- Aaron J.
