"previous month", "previous week" or "back 10"? but why 30?

does this really require a checkbox? how about:

* if the user goes back in the comic's history, don't update it (but offer a 
"jump to today" button if there already isn't one)

* if the user was on "today's" comic last time, then update it

that doesn't seem surprising to me .. :)
