That's exactly what the new systemtray spec does. :) Unfortunately application have to start using this spec, and we'll still have legacy systray icons for a while. Pitty, but nothing we can do about that. In the old spec, systray icons are basically just windows, and there is no form of communication between the icons and the systemtray.
