I think the idea is good, after all, contrast is very important, but the current colors we see on the screen shot you have given are atrocious. The first think I thought when I saw them was "what on earth is going on here, this gives me a head ache" I think we need to come up with a theme that contrasts only slightly...so greyish blues maybe, instead of something completely different. I think something along the lines of the Aya theme might work well even.
