aha! yes, this worked. i had installed libeet ... but the packages from the opensuse build system were broken (they were contribs, not official packages, so i can't blame anyone really ;) .. the lib files were there, as were the headers, but the libs were actually broken. i installed libeet later from source which fixed this, but apparently this was too late for the overly clever qmake ;) anyways, it works perfectly now. huzzah! on to wallpapers? =P -- Aaron J.
