Package: evolution
Version: 1.0.3-2
Severity: important

My companies LDAP servers require v2 or v3 requests and simple authentication,
I don't know what version (if any) evolution is using, but it seems unable
to do any lookups in the corporate database.

It isn't even working on my local LDAP database (driven via slapd)!

For both corporate, and my server, I use queries of the form:
ldapsearch -x -h <host> -b <base> [email protected]

But using 'Email is' with '[email protected]' returns nothing
from either my local or the corporate database ;( using (the
probably wrong syntax) 'Expression' search of '([email protected])'
doesn't work either.
