I occasionally want to drag spam mails from my inbox to my manual spam
folder (to feed to sa-learn later). Sometimes I do many mails one after
another in quick succession. When dragging, Evolution grabs the mouse
cursor, obviously; but occasionally, Evolution will not release it
again. With metacity, I have no way to recover other than to switch
to a console and kill evolution, hence the severity.
As far as I can tell, this sequence triggers the problem:
1. Wait for Evolution to check mail or something, so that the
following move operation may not be executed immediately.
2. Press the mouse button on a mail in Inbox (right pane).
3. Drag to folder in left pane.
4. Release mouse button.
5. Go back to right pane.
6. Press the mouse button on another mail. Make sure that the
previous move operation has not yet completed.
7. Drag to folder in left pane. Do not release mouse button.
8. Wait for previous move operation to complete.
9. Now release the mouse button.
10. Nothing happens (Evolution doesn't notice the drop),
and the mouse cursor (and with metacity, the keyboard too),
is unreleasably held by Evolution, until killed.
