I copied the mails from the other machine and tried to read the Maildir created by Kmail. When trying to create a new folder in the old Maildir structure it complains that the path is not absolte. I even tried to create that directory in a fresh Maildir in /tmp/mail, which also failed because of the same supposed error. The /tmp directory is on the root filesystem (could it be because the filesystem is on LVM?).
