Hi friends! Hope you all are doing well. Wanted to forward a couple things that may be of interest...
- EPL-2.0 and Leiningen: there is an ongoing discussion on the Leiningen bug tracker about EPL-2.0 and its GPL compatibility. Link: https://github.com/technomancy/leiningen/issues/2358 - Clojure 1.9.0-RC2 has been released: I doubt they'll release Clojure 1.9 before the end of the year, but it sounds like it's getting close. The biggest difference between Clojure 1.8 and 1.9 from a build perspective is that while Clojure 1.8 is a single jar, Clojure 1.9 consists of 3. But Clojure is built with maven iirc, so I don't think it should add much effort to the build. Link: https://github.com/technomancy/leiningen/issues/2358 Where is leiningen at? I've been trying a bunch of different things to wrestle with the nested setup of the repository but I admit I am struggling. Every time I think I have the right path to a working build, something goes wrong. I am current looking at the bootstrapping approach. The first (upstream) release of Leiningen 2.8.0 was a bit of a dud--- release candidates weren't thoroughly tested in the while it seems so lots of bugs cropped up with the 2.8.0 upgrade! The target release for Debian will likely be 2.8.1 or 2.8.2. I sincerely hope I will be able to get that finished well before the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS freeze. Once that's done, we can look at getting it into stretch-backports. Yours, - e
