Ok I randomly came across that fact this morning that GLX_ARB_create_context
was not supported until X.org server 1.13. I was doing my AMD testing on a
Ubuntu 12.04 machine so I guess thats probably the issue.

1) did you remember to update waffle to version 1.3x?
