Well, my explanation to problem number 2 still stands. :) The browser cannot "ignore" code that you write on the server with PHP, such as exit. The HTTP response from the server is exactly the same regardless of browser unless you specifically take different actions according to the value of User-Agent. I find that observation curious. Are you certain that the exit didn't sneak in between tests? :)
