Nah... the search engines don't care at all. However.... if you're picky, you can rename the file from "index.php" to "index" (or whatever you want) and then add a ForceType via Apache's .htaccess like this: <Files index> ForceType application/x-httpd-php </Files> Put... that step is really for "cleanliness" of the URL, as the spiders don't care at all.
