While ranting might be good for the psyche there are trained psychiatric professionals that will readily listen to your rants. The PHP mailing list is not the place to vent. In every large community there will be those with less experience than others, and yes, many inexperienced programmers that will do whatever it takes to get things working, even if that means copying and pasting code they don't understand. Instead of ranting, a more useful approach would be to create a post that properly informs a user on how to populate a multiple option select box and eventually rank higher than any incorrect postings.
