This is really a JS issue but.. check the snippet of your code below:
Calendar.setup({
inputField : "f_date_e", // id of the input field
});
<input type="hidden" value="f_trigger_e" name="show_e" >
looks to me like if your input should be
<input type="hidden" value="" id="date_e" name="date" />
