hmm; you can define you own error handler via set_error_handler()<http://us.php.net/manual/en/function.set-error-handler.php> this would be something like overriding the stock session_handler, or maybe a little similar to extending the stock exception handler. anyway, i think that would be a lot of work just to suppress error output for a single function. i say this because if you define you own error handler you have to support everything in the new handler; you dont get to just change some things and not others. Note: this from the handbook: It is important to remember that the standard PHP error handler is completely bypassed.
