I know there have been a Prof. who have written many useful statistical
scripts. Couldnt remember his name, but I can look in my university
library for his name. He is a chief editor for "Multivariate
Analysis".
I have been involved in statistics three years ago. R is IMHO the best
language to solve statistical problems. At that time I used R as a
standalone programming language. I couldnt start R from PHP, so I asked on
the PHP developers list, but there was no response.
I guess this would be a really good tool and can turn PHP into the
best data mining tool :)
