I've used both PEAR::PHPUnit and SimpleTest. I like SimpleTest better... mainly because it's documented so well. I was up and running with SimpleTest in a matter of an hour, whereas I'd struggled for the better part of a day trying to figure out from the docs how to use PHPUnit -- and only managed a portion of what I accomplished with SimpleTest in that hour.
