[PHP] Good and free encoder for PHP5

Hi,

Does anyone around here knows a *good* and *free* encoder for PHP5 ?
I used to run Turck, but it seems that somehow it has been discontinued.
(At least, the last release occured about a year ago).

Any help would be apreciated.
