It's a query, just like any other query. So you're going to send it to ODBC the same as you send any other query. I don't know the ODBC syntax, but it's going to be something like: $query = "select count(id) as quantity from danhmucdia"; $id_count_set = odbc_query($query) or trigger_error(odbc_error() . " $query", E_USER_ERROR); $id_count = odbc_result($id_count_set, 0, 0); You could also use odbc_fetch_row or odbc_fetch_array.
