Thanks for your advice! I have tested the script on the Webserver, and fortunately it works! I am using gettext because of the po Files. With programs like KBabel it is no problem to translate them. The second reason is the Plural. I hate sentences like '1 File(s) found!'. I could not notice a loss of performance yet.
