Perhaps my little comment really didn't explain exactly what I meant. pecl.php.net is more geared for developers that wish to contribute to writing extensions. The documentation that is being worked on will explain what pecl is, how to install a pecl extension and of course the procedures to upgrade them. Which will be geared more towards the end user of the PECL extension vs the developer.
