I am trying to get a hosting provider(Godaddy.com) to enable the ftp_connect extensions to php. They tell me that they cannot do so for security reasons. Is this really such a security issue?
At php.net I read the advice: "for ftp to work you must do ./configure --enable-ftp in php4" ...and from phpcollab.com: "You should ask your hosting provider to install those for you, probably they will do without much problem. Or, if they don't want to, you should consider choosing another provider." If it is an issue, does anyone know of a hosting provider that allows these extensions? -Brian Anderson -- PHP General Mailing List (http://www.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
