Hi
Are we talking about smb shares for linux.
If so, why dont you just ask your admin to create a share to "/tmp"

or create via php a web page that looks at /tmp and displayes the file.
Remember, there are many ways to skin a cat.

<?php
$dir = "/tmp/";

// Open a known directory, and proceed to read its contents
if (is_dir($dir)) {
   if ($dh = opendir($dir)) {
       while (($file = readdir($dh)) !== false) {
           echo "filename: $file : filetype: " . filetype($dir . $file) .
"\n";
       }
       closedir($dh);
   }
}
?>
