Duh, OK, Now I REALLY feel stupid. With the current setup using the .htaccess files and everything I have in place all I needed to do was get the information from: $_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_USER'] and $_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_PW']. I kept thinking I had to use PHP to set those values. Thanks guys!! Works like a charm now!
