Hi Tom, when I put "echo `printenv`;" into a script, I
see in big bold letters: USER=john so this environment
variable seems to be available..  getenv('USER');
works fine, so I guess I'll just use that instead.. No
idea why $_ENV['USER']; doesn't work though.  Thanks
for the suggestion,
