From: spatar at mail dot nnov dot ru Operating system: All PHP version: 5.2.1 PHP Bug Type: PDO related Bug description: Feature Req: Mode for autoloading of LOBs
Description: ------------ Many applications use CLOBs for storing not very big data, but more than varchar2 can store. For such applications it isn't handy to deal with streams. Also sometimes it's impossible for table with CLOB column to do $stmt->fetchAll(), because the number of simultaneously opened LOBs is limited in a database (300 in Oracle by default) and only one correct way is to do $stmt->fetch() in a loop and check if a column is resource. I request to add a fetching mode when PDO loads every LOB in a cursor automatically in its C++ code. PHP code will look like this: $result = $stmt->fetchAll(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC | PDO::LOB_AUTO_LOAD); -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=40975&edit=1 -- Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 4.4): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=trysnapshot44 Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 5.2): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=trysnapshot52 Try a CVS snapshot (PHP 6.0): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=trysnapshot60 Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=needscript Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=globals PHP 3 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=php3 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=gnused Floating point limitations: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=float No Zend Extensions: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=40975&r=mysqlcfg
