var_dump(strtotime("+1 day"));
result => int(1133289924)

and test :
var_dump(strtotime("+ $duree_quantite $duree_unite"));
result => bool(false)

In PHP v5.0.5, this code will be run !
strtotime("+ $duree_quantite $duree_unite")

In PHP v5.1.1, strtotime("+ $duree_quantite $duree_unite")
is empty.
