From: migmam at ya dot coom Operating system: Windows 2000 PHP version: 5.0.1 PHP Bug Type: XML related Bug description: non ASCII characters
Description: ------------ Hi, I have upgraded to PHP5 and an old module that reads an XML file doesn't work now. I use SAX to read the file and everything works fine until a non ASCII characters is found. When it finds a non ascii character (spanish characters in my case -áéíóú-) it splits the element in to two different ones. For example, the word "Información" is divided into "Informaci" and "ón". I have indicated in the XML document heading the type encoding="ISO-8859-1" I have saved it like codified as ISO-8859-1 text file. In the parser option I have specified ISO-8859-1 (XML_OPTION_TARGET_ENCODING) And it doesn't work Best regards, Miguel Angel -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/?id=30846&edit=1 -- Try a CVS snapshot (php4): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=trysnapshot4 Try a CVS snapshot (php5.0): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=trysnapshot50 Try a CVS snapshot (php5.1): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=trysnapshot51 Fixed in CVS: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=fixedcvs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=needscript Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=globals PHP 3 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=php3 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=gnused Floating point limitations: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=float MySQL Configuration Error: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=30846&r=mysqlcfg
