Actual result can not really be 'nothing' since you output stuff in the script. Are you sure it's not actually crashing? (check the apache logs) And/or does it actually connect? (you don't check that) Add 'error_reporting(E_ALL);' in top of your script. And check your phpinfo() output that "display_errors" php.ini setting is 'On'. I run Apache2 as "apache" user that is member of "USERS" group. ftp_rawlist() function returns nothing. I've checked my FTP logs and all I can see that PHP logs into FTP server and does not sends LIST command.
