[EMAIL PROTECTED]: Can you verify if what [EMAIL PROTECTED]
suggests is causing the problem for you too?

Yip, if extension_dir is anything other than what's in
php-recommend.ini, then a range of directives revert to default
(session_save_path reverts to /tmp, php.ini is set to c:/temp etc)

Does the extension_dir setting cause this?

Work around: Stay in PHP 4.3.0 installation, just use php-dist.ini from
PHP 4.2.3. You can modify php-dist.ini from 4.2.3 to be the same rules
as RECOMMENDED php.ini. It works for me for months.
