I tried 4.3.0RC3 to see if it was something fixed, however it does not seem that way. Yesterday I installed MySQL 4.23.53 and php4-STABLE-200211230430 on a different OpenBSD machine with the same -current src tree with no problems. (going to start testing this on it, but will take time as it is only a slow p2...)
