From: Operating system: Linux PHP version: 5.3.10 Package: PDO related Bug Type: Bug Bug description:PDO ODBC Segfaults on SQL_SUCESS_WITH_INFO
Description: ------------ PDO ODBC segfaults when a column less than 256 bytes are retrieved (has to be SUCCESS_WITH_INFO). The buffer is allocated with the assumption the retrieved column is greater than 256 bytes. When a column with say 150 bytes are allocated, the code tries to write 256 bytes to the buffer and results in a segfault. The segfaults go away by ensuring the column length is checked before assigning characters to the buffer. Test script: --------------- <requires a column coming from the db with a character encoding issue and length less than 256> Expected result: ---------------- Should work regardless of the length of the column data Actual result: -------------- Segmentation Fault -- Edit bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=61212&edit=1 -- Try a snapshot (PHP 5.4): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=trysnapshot54 Try a snapshot (PHP 5.3): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=trysnapshot53 Try a snapshot (trunk): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=trysnapshottrunk Fixed in SVN: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=fixed Fixed in SVN and need be documented: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=needdocs Fixed in release: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=needscript Try newer version: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=oldversion Not developer issue: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=support Expected behavior: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=notwrong Not enough info: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=submittedtwice register_globals: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=globals PHP 4 support discontinued: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=php4 Daylight Savings: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=dst IIS Stability: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=gnused Floating point limitations: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=float No Zend Extensions: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61212&r=mysqlcfg
