From: Operating system: linux (debian squeeze) PHP version: 5.3SVN-2012-02-10 (SVN) Package: Apache2 related Bug Type: Bug Bug description:Null byte truncates $_GET variables
Description: ------------ I was working with some serialization and I found that if there's a null byte in the $_GET variable the variable and the string disappear. I'm not sure why a serialized object is using a null byte for private or protected members in the first place, as null bytes are used for termination. Test script: --------------- on the server: <?php print_r($_REQUEST); ?> Expected result: ---------------- If we send a request: GET /bla.php? rest_data=O:14:"LoadsCacheFile":11{s:12:"\x00*\x00_FileName";s:5:"Cache";} HTTP/1.0 Host: 192.168.98.134 reply: 'array (\n' array ( 'rest_data' => 'O:14:"LoadsCacheFile":11:{s:12:"', ) -- Edit bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=61035&edit=1 -- Try a snapshot (PHP 5.4): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=trysnapshot54 Try a snapshot (PHP 5.3): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=trysnapshot53 Try a snapshot (trunk): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=trysnapshottrunk Fixed in SVN: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=fixed Fixed in SVN and need be documented: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=needdocs Fixed in release: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=needscript Try newer version: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=oldversion Not developer issue: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=support Expected behavior: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=notwrong Not enough info: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=submittedtwice register_globals: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=globals PHP 4 support discontinued: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=php4 Daylight Savings: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=dst IIS Stability: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=gnused Floating point limitations: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=float No Zend Extensions: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=61035&r=mysqlcfg
