From: Operating system: Mac (Darwin 10.8.0 i386) PHP version: 5.4.0alpha3 Package: Class/Object related Bug Type: Feature/Change Request Bug description:Feature: Trait checks type of consuming class
Description: ------------ For instance, one may require that the use of a trait "requires" that the consuming class must be of a certain type or implement a specific interface. An example is Doctrine2's ArrayCollection. One may want to write a utility trait that mixes in functionality that is useful to this type of Collection. This trait would work with ArrayCollections or its decedents but would throw an Exception (i.e. TraitConsumerIllegalTypeException) if attempting to use with other types of classes. -- Edit bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=55613&edit=1 -- Try a snapshot (PHP 5.4): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=trysnapshot54 Try a snapshot (PHP 5.3): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=trysnapshot53 Try a snapshot (trunk): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=trysnapshottrunk Fixed in SVN: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=fixed Fixed in SVN and need be documented: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=needdocs Fixed in release: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=needscript Try newer version: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=oldversion Not developer issue: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=support Expected behavior: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=notwrong Not enough info: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=submittedtwice register_globals: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=globals PHP 4 support discontinued: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=php4 Daylight Savings: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=dst IIS Stability: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=gnused Floating point limitations: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=float No Zend Extensions: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=55613&r=mysqlcfg
